The core of the vedic science is consciousness, the knowledge of the consciousness itself. Know that by which everything is known. It means when you want go into science and want to have reliable knowledge about the reality and also have the power to deal with this reality you have to start with the fundament Know that by which everything is known. It means know your own consciousness. Consciousness is what we are. That is our being, that is the essence. In the other consciousness states sleeping, dreaming and awakening we have different activities. With our sense we are directed to the objects in the world and also inner objects as thoughts and feelings in the awakening consciousness state. Directed to the fantasies of our mind in the dream state and directed to nothing in our dreamless deep sleep. The knowledge of the consciousness itself is the being of consciousness. Consciousness can be open for the world but also to itself. That is selfknowledge. Know yourself is written at the entrance of the greek temple of Delphi. Know yourself in your essence. Before you start with anything first know the basis of knowledge. What is that by which everything is known. What is my consciousness? What is my own being? If you do not know this your knowledge has no basis. When your knowledge has no basis it is not reliable. Not reliable is what we know as our current state of science which is alway temporarily. It is not true but a temporarily idea in which we help ourself. The vedic tradition had a diffent approach than modern science. Reject unreliable knowledge of the reality and first built up a reference frame that is unchangeable. That is the knowledge we archieve when our consciousness is open for itself. This is the fourth consciousness state. This is when it is still by itself. That is a solid fundament for archieving knowledge. The vedic tradition has a medicine when applied right has no negative side effects and based on a deep knowledge of nature. Much deeper than in modern science. In the vedic tradition there is knowledge about how to prosperous develop in life, how to grow in knowledge, how to grow innerly and how to grow to handle in this world. This is knowledge mostly not know in our current time.
